Absences
It may be necessary for a student to miss class from time to time. When a student is absent, it is the student's responsibility to obtain the information necessary to complete the missed assignment(s). The student will need to communicate with Ms. Ward to gain assignment (s) missed and to set a date for completion.
If the student needs help, he/she may ask Ms. Ward or a classroom buddy. A student has five school days to make up work. If the work is not turned in during that five day period, the work is considered late and subject to the late work policy.
It is expected of the student to contact Ms. Ward when absent 2+ days to get assignments that he/she will be missing to help with the transition back to school after an extended absence.
Late work
Work is due the beginning of the class period on the given due date. Work not turned in on time will be considered late. All late work will receive a minimum grade of 50.
PowerSchool
Student grades are accessible via the PowerSchool website. Passwords are required for this website; please contact the school office if you do not have access to the website. http://parents.cms.k12.nc.us
