- Scholars began working on final novel projects for Literature Circles. Scholars reading To Kill A Mockingbird will complete the HyperDoc shared with them back in February. All other scholars will complete the Choice Board Board Activity. Final Project is due next Monday, April 24th.

- Time was given in class this week for scholars to finalized their Poetry for Social Change projects.
- 3rd and 4th Blocks participated in a MakerSpace activity on Thursday. Finished products will be used in conjunction with a future project for 4th Quarter.

- Scholars took the Literary Terms test and grades have been posted in PowerSchool. Scholars who scored below an 80 are able to retake the test. They must submit a Request to Retest form to Ms. Ward.

- Scholars took the Literary Terms Pre-Test for Unit 1 last Friday. Scholars recognized any terms they did not know and are encouraged to study.
- The Unit 1 Literary Terms test will be Tuesday, September 13th. We will review terms in class, but scholars are encouraged to study outside of class.
- All scholars set up their Interactive Notebooks in class. These will be an important resource for scholars throughout the year.
- All scholars visited the Media Center on Wednesday. This was an opportunity to make sure everyone has a book they are reading toward the 40 Book Challenge. The first set of book reviews will be due the end of September. More details will be given later.
